The words “I can make it” or, “we can do it ourselves” have rung in my friends’ and family’s ears so many times that they will know exactly what I mean when a situation prompts me to sneak out a motivated, “y’know…”

Making art, or anything DIY, is such a fulfilling and life-affirming endeavor. The excitement of imbuing one’s unique time and attention is a fascination I have felt all my life.

 

Currently, I'm an M.F.A. candidate at Savannah College of Art and Design after completing my B.F.A. at James Madison University with a concentration in painting and drawing.

My process is centered on exploring physical, tactile, and alternative methods and techniques. Experimentation is endlessly thrilling to me and I love the tension between structure and breakdowns.
