A short film using 16mm film, laser-printing, and digital compositing

PROCESS
Base Footage
Combined, masked, and distorted long exposure shots and footage of incense to create jarring, unexpected patterns of movement.
Fed the footage into a CRT television and rephotographed while using optical lenses in front of phone camera.
Stenciled the frames in approx. 30f intervals. Laser-printed, onto clear 16mm film.
Spliced, then ran through a projector.
Playing with distortions and manipulation of time.
Testing effects.
