Conference Opener
New Yorker Fest
The New Yorker Festival is an annual event organized by The New Yorker magazine.

“Bringing together ‘a who's-who of the arts, politics and everything in between.’”

The festival is about to celebrate the magazine’s 100th anniversary

Concept
The New Yorker's visual language typically relies on flat, graphic forms with a recurring motif of organic, imprecise cut outs.
The new direction will retain simplistic sensibilities, but will be a departure from the usual intensity of flatness and rigidity of shapes.

Design will embrace more dynamic forms to represent the plurality and convergence of entertainment, art forms, and culture coming together for one festival, accentuated by details that celebrate the magazine’s 100th anniversary. (e.g. Past designs, performances, etc.)
